Getting to Know YOU
1. Mary was told by the angel that she was highly favored among women. If an Angel appeared to you and told you you were highly favored of God, what would your response be? Can you see yourself as favored of God? Why or why not?
2. Mary said, “Let it be to me as your word”? In essence she amened the angel’s word toward her. Is your immediate response to the Word of the Lord in your life more typical to be “amen!”or “I don’t think I can do that.”? Why do you suppose that is?
3. For those of you who have children… How do you identify with the love Mary had for Jesus and the love you have for your kids? Define what “terribly-sweet” means to you…

1. Read I Samuel 1:9-11. What is the bargain Hannah struck with God. What does that mean (what is the depth of such a bargain)?
2. Read I Samuel 1:20-28. What was Hannah’s new struggle now that the Lord had answered her prayer? What did Hannah do that few others could have (or would have) done?
