Getting to Know YOU
1. What are some ways you have observed money controlling peope in unhealthy ways?
2. Have you ever observed money being used in a remarkable (perhaps even supernatural) way? Have you ever considered the eternal value of your money? How does this affect your perspective on money?
3. Throughout history, economic collapses, natural disasters, government upheavals, wars and rumors of wars have brought great harm to personal finances in the lives of the family unit in their day. Some have suffered irreparable ruin. What should the Christian perspective be on such things ?
Passages to Ponder
1. The Apostle Paul is a great example of proper perspective when it comes to material gain. What can we learn from him? (Philippians 4:10-13)
2. Read Isaiah 1:17 and 19. Each of these verses shows us the blessing of God given with instruction on how to respond to the blessing. What does God say about YOUR money and other people (vs. 17)? What does God say about YOUR money and YOU (vs. 19)?
Show Me the Way
1. How has the Spirit shaped your thinking on money, blessing, giving, and YOUR eternal impact?
2. Think of three simple (and attainable) ways you might bless someone else with your money? Are you willing to do at least one of those things within the next 10 days?
3. How does it make you feel when you are able to bless someone else with your money? What might the rewards be for learning to be generous in the area of your finances?
